fashion, fitness, and skincare (18)
Hello visitor.
I wanna talk about looks and fashion. I feel like I look pretty good right now and the clothes that I wear on a day-to-day basis are pretty OK, imo. I don't really have a coherent sense of fashion, to be honest. I'll usually wear a plain colored T-shirt and jeans or shorts. I have a pair of chunky Balenciagas that I really like and some beat up New Balances that I wear daily. I use a rollercoaster belt. The firefighters were really onto something with these things. They unclip immediately, are adjustable, and look really cool, actually.

Being future-minded, I want to actually develop a sense of personal style at some point. I really like baggy clothes and dramatic proportions. I recently made a shopping list for Fall, so I'm pretty hype to get started on my fashion life.
Looks matter to me a lot, so I try and take care of myself as well as I can. I have a pretty decent skincare routine. I use CeraVe cleanser in the shower, and I just recently started using CosRX oil-free moisturizer. This was a game-changer for me. I have very, very oily skin and this moisturizer really helps even out my skin. I also use CosRX's sunscreen, but it's not waterproof and I sweat a lot, so I need to change that out ASAP.
I haven't been very consistent with my diet or the gym. That would be fine on its own, but I'm in a situation where I gained weight last year and I need to get rid of it. I eat a fairly healthy and high-protein diet but don't stick to a calorie deficit. I go to the gym maybe 3 times a week nowadays, but I want to up it to 4 times so I can start progressing faster. My goal is probably to keep my current 185x3 bench while losing a substantial amount of weight. I think I'll start skipping lunch, because lunch is super time-consuming and bothersome anyway. I'm a big fan of protein shakes so I'll just pop one of those whenever I need nutrition.
I recently started running as well. I have an 11-minute mile for up to one mile, then I have to walk. I kind of want to dial up the running and hit a 2-mile run with a 9:00 time. I feel like that's a satisfying time and is good enough if you ever actually need to run somewhere. I also bought a bike recently and want to up my endurance on that. I can bike maybe 3 miles before getting really cooked. I think a 6-mile bike range would be sufficient.
Generally speaking, I'm doing pretty alright in the self-care department. I take creatine every day, which is my secret. If you go to the gym, take 10g of creatine a day, not 5. Doing this boosted my bench from 155 to 195 in 2 months, so get on it quick. Creatine is my only supplement right now, as I spend enough time in the sun and eat fruits regularly. Besides that, I try to think positively and drink enough water. I really have to try meditating one of these days. My dad taught me a lot about meditation, and I think it would benefit my physical and mental health quite a lot.
Yoga and hiking kind of speak to me in their own ways. I tried yoga a few times over the summer and I always felt really good after. It's actually pretty hard for me, even though everyone says it's too easy and boring. I have extremely poor posture in general and I think if I got consistent with stretching, I would be a lot more healthy. I also like to hike, in theory. I haven't been giving it enough time lately. I've been really busy with school, but I want to go to Watkins Glen state park so, so badly, and it's my job to make time to do it one of these days.
Getting in shape is very blegh. I don't really like working out that much, and losing weight is obscenely hard. Stretching takes time, and hiking takes even more. Dressing well also costs money. I don't really feel like doing any of it. However, if you don't do these things, other people will still do them and get ahead of you. We all know life is a competition that should be played one way. As such, you should maximize your attributes to obtain the best chances of crushing your opponents.
So, go ahead and copy my routine if you want to be like me. Or don't. I don't really care what you do. I mean, I care about you as a reader, but I don't know the specifics of your life and what you need. Take the creatine, though. Trust.
Get it,
Ayaan
